Questions lenders ask

On Outfita, a peer-to-peer dress hire app for Australia and New Zealand. Download the app on iOS or Android, set up your profile, verify your ID, and list a piece with photos, size, price and bond. Listing is free, and more than 10,000 members browse on the app and at outfita.app.
How much does it cost to list dresses on Outfita?
Nothing. Listing is free and there is no limit on how many pieces you list.
How much should I charge to hire out a dress?
It is up to you. Across Outfita the median hire price is $80, and half of all pieces hire for between $60 and $110. Gowns sit at the top, with a median around $160. Formal pieces are around $95, and minis and day dresses around $70.
How and when do I get paid?
Renters pay upfront through the app, so there is no chasing money. Once the hire goes through, your payout is released to your nominated bank account, usually within two to three business days.
What happens if a dress is damaged, returned late or not returned?
The renter pays for damage beyond reasonable wear and tear and any extra cleaning, and you can choose the cleaner or repairer. Late fees apply until the piece is back, and 14 days late counts as not returned. For loss or damage beyond repair, the renter pays the replacement value in your listing. Renters are ID-verified before they can book, and any bond you set is held against these costs. Outfita does not insure pieces, so set a bond and replacement value you are comfortable with.
Do I have to post my dresses?
No. You can offer local pick up, postage, or both, and you set the postage price. Every listing shows its suburb, so people nearby can find you for last-minute hires.
Can I list if I run a dress hire business?
